Zenworks Training
This week SLU is sending me to Zenworks 7.0 Desktop Managment Administration Training. That’s really a mouthfull. So far, I have learned a lot of interesting things. And there really are a lot of differences between the Novell directory services and the Microsoft directory services. And some of them, I think would have caused a lot of problems come implementation time, if I didn’t know some of the things I’ve already learned this week. It will be interesting to see as we redesign the enterprise base image/deployment model, with all this new information. One of my co-workers, Chris, says he doesn’t believe that the process will be all that bad, but I’m not so sure. There are a lot of places, where we have to look at policies, and de-engineer what a contract work did, and then re-engineer a new solution. I don’t think it will be as cut-and-dry as he does.
