Last Thursday I had an interview for a company called Blue Current Systems.  Their home office is in Texas, but they have offices in St. Louis as well.  I got in contact with them through Robert Half Inc (a staffing firm I had previously interviewed for).

Blue Current Systems does large PC rollouts (IMACD) for large corporations.  When I went in to the interview, I was a little worried, because they had managed to lose my resume.  It seemed a little “shady” that they would have lost it.  I keep about 30 resumes in a little leather folder that I take with me to interviews, so it was ok.

So the interviewer dude starts going over my resume, and the first thing he says, is that I might be over qualified for the position.  Now I wouldn’t think it would be a problem, but I have been looking for a job for almost 5 months now.  When he said it, I just thought to myself that if they don’t hire me because I’m over qualified, I will be really dissappointed.

Then I had to take a little test, there were really stupid questions like, have you ever used Ghost, & what could be the problem if you can’t login to a domian with a password you know works.

After that, the rest of the interview went very well.

The company is doing a 5000 pc rollout and data migration for Boeing in St. Louis over the next 6 weeks.  I honestly don’t think it would take that long, but I’m not going to complain.  The job will end on December 7th, so after that I will be looking for a job again.  But in the mean time I will be making $14 an hour, and during the interview they were really pushing the question if I would be ok with working overtime.  Who would say no?

The only downside of course, is that Boeing is about 30 miles from where I’m living, so the daily commute will suck, but I’m not going to let that bother me much.
