bout twenty seconds later she died.’, ‘The only problem with a city like Chicago, is that eventually you have to go home.Â
I rolled out of Chicago around 10:30 this morning. There was very little traffic until Joliet, where they condense 4 lanes into just one. After that it was a good ride until I was almost home.
Around mile marker 30 my car started making a loud clicking noise. At first I thought I might have a flat tire. The next exit was for a rest stop, and I decided to pull in there to check it out. Before I could get down the ramp to the rest area, my check engine light, oil light, battery light, and brake light all went on. About twenty seconds later she died. I had the auto club tow my car to a garage near my parents house. Of couse it was after five, and they were closed, bummer. My dad helped me get all of my stuff out of my car and then I decided to check the oil. She was good on oil when I left, about 1500 miles left before the next oil change. But tonight, standing all alone at the garage, she was bone dry.
I’ll be heading down to the garage tomorrow morning, see if they can figure out where she bled out. Not that it matters much, if she ran out of oil, then the engine’s fucked.
A moment of silence please…

The only problem with a city like Chicago, is that they will steal all your shit – engine oil included.
