So I had an interview today…finally. It was with Robert Half Technologies. Its actually a IT staffing firm. I was there a long time, and I had to take a test, but I scored 20% above their average for people they place. So they said the would try to place me somewhere as soon as possible.
It’s not really what a want to do, IT that is, but it’s work, and that means its a paycheck (hopefully). I would rather do some engineering, but it is very hard to get an engineering job with zero engineering experience in this economy.
 Let’s see … whats new???
I am going to a job fair in the windy city (Chicago that is) early next week. It is a technology job fair, so maybe (fingers crossed) I might be able to find a job up there in engineering.
Since I”ve already read all the books I own, I am just going to drive up there myself. My parents want me to take the train, but I wouldn’t have anything to do on the way there. Besides, once there, I would have to take a cab from Union Station (Yes thats what they call their train station so shut up), to the hotel. That means I would have to carry a lot of cash on me, and I really don’t like doing that.
So I’m going to drive up on Monday, stay at a hotel, and then the fair is Tuesday at Navy Pier, and then drive home on Wednesday. Three days at a few hour job fair does seem a little excesive, but its not like I have anything else to do.
