Graduation was today
I’m glad its over. Now people can stop bugging me about it. It was probably the biggest CF I’ve been witness to at Mizzou. All the graduates were supposed to meet in the basement of Jesse Hall an hour before the ceremony. About 20 minutes before when the ceremony was supposed to start, they passed out these cards with our names on them. We stood grouped by major in sudo-alphabetical order. It was horrible, because there is no AC in the basement. Finally, they hearded us (the cattle) up into the auditorium. Some dudes spoke, it was boring (I almost fell asleep twice). We walked on stage, handed a lady the card with our name on it, which she read, and we got our diploma covers.
Big whoop. I so could have spent that 4 hours doing about a million other things more constructive. Further, we have to wait 60 days for our diplomas. Sixty days !?!?! What the hell is that? They claim they need that time for final grades to be added to our transcripts. Grades, however are due Tuesday, so I think they are just full of shit.
On a lighter note, I got a lot of great stuff from my family. My sister got me a Simpsons Duff Beer clock. On the hour Homer and Barney tip glasses. Its cool. I also got some mega bucks. SWEET!!!
