So my landlord is trying to charge me 800 bucks for the 6 days I have extended our lease. The monthly rent is $675, and we are currently paid up to the end of the original lease. I don’t understand where she is getting this number from. I really hate people sometimes.
So I figured up how much it would cost total to live at my place, according to the lease, and then I added the amount for 6 days worth. Someone check my math:
Original Lease:
Security Deposit: $675
+ 1 Months Rent: $675
x # of Months: 12

$8775
Extension:
1 Months Rent: $675
/ Days in month: 30
—————————-
$22.50 per day
x Days in extenstion: 6
—————————–
$135
8775+135=$8910
$8910-((11×675) + (1350)) = $135
I don’t see where she got $800. Is my math wrong? Am I out of my mind?
